Video Performance* (9.75)*
The Canon HG10 comes equipped with a 1/2.7' CMOS sensor, which has a gross pixel count of 2,960,000. The effective pixel count in Video mode is approximately 2,070,000. Working magic behind the imager is the Digic DVII processor, which is actually two processors: one for video and one for stills. This is the same lens/imager/processor system found on the Canon HV20, their top consumer HDV camcorder, and the HR10, their AVCHD camcorder that records to DVD.
