Introduction

We haven't reviewed a GE (General Imaging) product in a while, but get ready for the DV1—a cheap, waterproof, ultracompact camcorder that may be an answer for those on a tight budget. Don't bite before reading our review, though. The GE DV1 ($129 MSRP) didn't put up hot numbers in our video testing, and its numerous design flaws led to a frustrating user experience.
